My auto-block rule blocked an official. Can I still assign them?
Your games board, assignments, crews, roster, and settings.
Yes. A rule never hides anyone. It marks them so you decide.
In the officials list:
- BLOCKED in red means a Block rule caught them, for example "BLOCKED: 3 Pine-Richland games in 10 days (until Oct 26)." The date is the last day of the block.
- FLAGGED in amber means a Flag rule caught them, for example "FLAGGED: 2 Pine-Richland games in 10 days (until Oct 27)."
- If the rule has a name, it shows in the small print, for example "rule: Three in ten."
To assign one anyway:
- Click the official (the small print says "tap to override").
- Skybox asks, for example, "[Name] is blocked (BLOCKED: 3 Pine-Richland games in 10 days (until Oct 26)). Assign anyway?" Click OK.
- Click Assign.
Clicking a FLAGGED official asks for the same confirm. The official gets the normal assignment email. Nothing in it mentions your rule.
Where the override is noted
The filled slot shows a small line with a flag, for example "Overrode BLOCKED: 3 Pine-Richland games in 10 days (until Oct 26) [rule: Three in ten]" or "Assigned past FLAGGED: ...". It stays on that assignment so you can see later why that official is there. It shows on your board only. Officials never see it, and schools do not either. It is separate from the note you leave for the official.
Crews and on-deck
- Fill with a crew leaves a crew member your rule blocks off the game and tells you why. To use them anyway, assign them to that slot by hand and confirm.
- The on-deck box leaves out officials your rule blocks. If a rule starts to catch someone after they went on-deck, Promote asks you to confirm first.
A block ends on its own on the date shown. To clear it sooner for everyone, turn the rule off on Settings.
