Who is told when I postpone, cancel or reschedule a game?

For a game within the next 30 days, a postpone, cancel or reschedule tells:

  • Your coaches for that sport (on by default; switch any coach off on the Coaches page).
  • Your staff who have alerts on, for games within the next 7 days.
  • Assigned game-day workers, if worker alerts are on for your school.
  • Subscribed parents, if Parent game alerts is on (off by default).
  • The officials working the game, by email, if Officials postponement alerts is on. Skybox never texts officials.
  • Your assignor, by email (on by default). For a game 7 or more days away, the change goes into the assignor's Friday weekly report instead. Texting the assignor is a separate switch, off by default, and only for games within 48 hours.
  • The bus company assigned to the game, by email, unless you turned Bus company change notices off.

The opposing AD is told only if you tick Notify opposing AD, or automatically by text if the game is within 6 days.

A game more than 30 days away saves quietly, except for the opposing AD if you ticked the box. A game whose date has already passed sends nothing. All of these switches are under Settings.
